Overview
A mechanical diaphragm wall grab for use with a crawler crane. Two wire ropes work it: one hoists and lowers the grab, the other opens and closes it. It digs by impact under its own weight, which suits severe, complex ground and deeper walls.
Trench accuracy is slightly lower than with a hydraulic grab. It is particularly suited to contractors without a dedicated diaphragm wall base machine.
Type B has a lighter frame than type A.
