Lead auger bit with flat cutting teeth and a centre pilot, for drilling CFA piles in soil.
Overview
The bit is the bottom section of a continuous flight auger string. Flat teeth on the lead flight cut the soil behind a centre pilot, and the flight carries the spoil up the string.
It goes at the bottom of a CFA rod string. Our flanged, hex-joint and DTH-hammer CFA rods are listed in the catalogue from Φ300 to Φ1000 (auger diameter 280–980 mm). The catalogue has no separate size table for the bit, so we quote it to match your rod.
